At QuickPodcasts we provide music with every podcast edit. Our music is properly licensed for our clients and we offer a wide selection from which to choose. However, we realize that not everyone reading this is also our customer (though we would love it if you were) so we figured we’d lay out some things to consider when selecting music to use in your show.
Choosing music for a podcast can depend on several factors, including the theme or genre of the podcast, the mood or tone you want to set, and any legal or licensing considerations.
Determine the mood or tone you want to set: Think about the overall feel you want to convey in your podcast and choose music that complements it. Consider the theme or genre of your podcast: If your podcast is about a specific topic, choose music that relates to that topic. For example, a podcast about nature may use music that is calming and atmospheric.
Research royalty-free music: To avoid any legal issues, it’s best to use music that is either in the public domain or has been licensed for commercial use. There are several websites that offer royalty-free music that you can use in your podcast.
Experiment with different styles: Try out different genres and styles of music until you find one that works well with your podcast.
Ask your listeners: Your listeners are an excellent resource for getting feedback on the music you choose. If you’re unsure about a certain song, ask your listeners for their opinions.
Remember to always check the licensing agreements for any music you use in your podcast to ensure that you are using it legally.
